BY BUS:
Peterpan and Greyhound bus lines provide service to Providence from many cities throughout the New England region. The bus station is located just north of the Providence downtown area; from the bus station, downtown Providence and the Brown campus can be reached by shuttle or by taxi. BY PLANE:
Brown University is served by two airports. For information regarding air travel to Providence, please view the Boston Logan International Airport website and the FT Green Airport website.
Cabs from the airport:
Cabs cost $11 per person on each way between the airport and Brown University. For a cab from the airport, please call (401) 737-2868. Your cab should stop at Rhode Island School of Design at 30 Waterman St OR at the Faunce Arch at Brown University (Cnr. Waterman Street and Brown Street)
Transportation from TF Green airport to campus:
The Brown University campus is located about 10 miles from the TF Green Airport. One-way taxi fare is approximately $35. The most economical transportation is the Airport Taxi & Limousine Service Shuttle which costs $11 one way. Shuttles leave every hour on the hour from TF Green and are available from 5:00am until midnight. Tickets can be purchased on the lower level of the airport near the exit. Transportation from Boston's Logan airport to campus:
From Logan International Airport, take the Peter Pan Bus, 800-343-9999, to Providence ($22 one way or $40 round trip). Buses run almost hourly (on the half-hour) and circulate throughout the terminal area. The Bonanza Bus will drop you off at Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence. From there, you can either take a cab directly to the Brown campus or to your hotel. Detailed fare and schedules can be found on the Peterpanwebsite.
BY TRAIN
Providence is on the Northeast Corridor Amtrak train route. The train station is located in the center of downtown Providence, just below the State House. It is a brief walk or taxi ride to the Brown campus.
