EducationUSA Adviser Gantumur talking to students

After a rigorous selection procedure, the EARC has selected 23 students for the USAP 2014 program in Mongolia. The students come from dynamic backgrounds, locations and schools with various interests and achievements—three students are from the countryside and fourteen students go to public schools. The first USAP meeting organized on July 3rd involved both students and their parents. During the meeting, EducationUSA advisors talked about the program details, the expectations from the EARC, the students and their parents, the timeline of advising sessions, trainings, and various tips for the students to successfully prepare themselves for the program. We congratulated the students for their hard work and gave them EducationUSA folders filled with promotional items. The advisors had also prepared binders which included a timeline so that the students can use it throughout the program. At the end of the meeting, students and parents signed a contract that stated the program goals and expectations. In general, the event was a success and the students are happy to start their journeys with USAP.
